When Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi said we need to pass the bill to see whats in it, It may not have been congressional mispeak. A few fact checkers are finding some interesting things about the Universal health care bill. One fact is it might not be, ‘universal’ at all.
One of the major problems with President Obama’s Health Care reform is that it is NOT universal. Dozens of top congressional leaders and staffers will be exempt or can opt-out of the Health care Reform requirements you and I will have to enroll in. If the general public chooses not to carry health insurance, they will be required to pay a Fine or have their tax refunds attached. Not so if you are amoung the elite in Congress. One wonders if equal protection under the law means anything to Congressman these days.
