President Obama /White House Schedule for the Week of November 24, 2013
President Obama had no public events scheduled on Saturday but this may be so he can rest up for his DNC/DCCC fundraising schedule for the next three days. The President’s West Coast tour will bring him to two public events (one on the Economy and one on Immigration Reform) and Seven (count them 7) DNC/DCCC fundraisers.
On Sunday, November 24th, the President will travel to Seattle, Washington where Obama will attend two fundraisers for the DNC and the DCCC. He will Remain overnight in Seattle
On Monday, November 25th, President Obama will travel to San Francisco, California for an immigration reform event at the Betty Ann Ong Chinese Recreation Center as well two events for the DNC.
In the afternoon, President Obama will head to Los Angeles, California where he will attend two more DCCC/DSCC fundraising events. Obama will remain overnight in Los Angeles.
On Tuesday, November 26th, President Obama will attend another DNC fundraiser followed by an event on the economy at Dreamworks Animation. The President will return to Washington, DC on Tuesday night.
On Wednesday, November 27th, President Obama plans to pardon the National Thanksgiving Turkey at the White House.
The President will celebrate the 66th anniversary of the National Thanksgiving Turkey presentation, reflect upon the time-honored traditions of Thanksgiving, and wish American families a safe and healthy holiday. The 2013 National Thanksgiving Turkey and its alternate were hatched and raised near Badger, Minnesota.
After the pardoning, the turkeys will be driven to George Washington’s Mount Vernon Estate and Gardens. The National Thanksgiving Turkey and its alternate will be on display for visitors during “Christmas at Mount Vernon,” a traditional program through January 6. The turkeys will then travel to their permanent home at Morven Park’s Turkey Hill, the historic turkey farm located at the home of former Virginia Governor Westmoreland Davis (1918-1922) in Leesburg, Virginia.
